If there ever was a smile
to soak up the salt in the sea,
boil the toxins in the raging waves,
and offer fresh water to the thirsty,
it would be yours.
If there ever was a voice
to quiet the howl of the wind,
hush the screaming of the storm,
and offer a lullaby
to comfort the terrified,
it would be yours.
If there ever was a soul
deserving of an angel
to offer them relief of sorrow,
and bring to them euphoria,
I am certain,
it would be yours.

This is so beautiful girlie, wow. Itβs been so long since Iβve read your pieces, I missed them! I love the references towards the ocean and how pretty every line is, it feels so content and it feels like it was written with love and contentness. Absolutely beautiful β€

Thank you Gabby. Honestly, I haven’t been writing all that much lately due to a lot of horrible shit going on, on top of hitting the worst depressive I’ve ever hit. But, I started medication a few weeks ago, and I’m working on getting my life to be back where I want it to be. The person tis poem is about, is Dakota, my saving grace for over a year now.
